The Beginning
The journey of Zerratek began while we were Grade 9 students. Driven by a passion for technology and sustainability, we started developing an AI-powered solution to address the growing challenge of electronic waste.
Nov - Dec 2025
Research & Development
Over the following months, we researched e-waste management, designed the AI-powered scanning system, built the EcoScan Kiosk prototype, and developed the Earn X rewards ecosystem.
January 2026
Young Scientist Award
We presented EcoScan Kiosk at the Young Scientist of Tamil Nadu – Season 1 competition. Our project earned the Winner title, 1st Place in our category, and a ₹1,00,000 cash prize.

Zerratek was founded by Sanjhana and Tanushka, two passionate Grade 10 student entrepreneurs with a vision to transform e-waste recycling through artificial intelligence.
Our Story
Our journey began in late 2025 while we were in Grade 9, when we started building EcoScan Kiosk. Driven by a passion for technology and sustainability, we wanted to create something meaningful that would address a real-world problem: the growing challenge of electronic waste.
In January 2026, we presented our EcoScan Kiosk at the Young Scientist of Tamil Nadu – Season 1 competition. Our project was recognized for its innovation and impact, earning us the Winner title, 1st Place in our category, and a ₹1,00,000 cash prize.
